The day Tamil Nadu woke up to a big political shift, the film industry found itself pulled into the conversation in an unexpected way. A birthday wish, a temple visit, and a wave outside a house; small moments came together and quickly turned into a larger story. At the centre of it all were Trisha Krishnan, Vijay, and a social media post by Lakshmi Manchu that many people could not ignore.

A birthday wish that sparked debate

It began with a simple message. As Trisha turned 43, Lakshmi Manchu posted a birthday wish on X. But this was no ordinary greeting. She linked the occasion with Vijay’s political victory, writing that the “universe” had given Trisha a “massive victory” as a birthday gift.

On the same day, Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, had just delivered a strong performance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Within minutes, the message spread across social media. Some people saw it as a cheerful coincidence. Others were not comfortable. They pointed out that Vijay’s personal life is currently under legal scrutiny, and connecting a political win to a birthday message felt inappropriate to them.

Temple visit and a quiet signal

Earlier that day, Trisha had kept things simple. She started her birthday with a visit to the Tirupati Temple, a place many celebrities choose for important personal moments.

Later, she was seen at Vijay’s residence in Chennai. As she stepped out, a crowd had already gathered. Cameras followed her movements. She did not speak, but her gestures did.

She waved at people waiting outside and gave thumbs-up before leaving.

Neither Trisha nor Vijay offered any explanation.

Rumours that refuse to fade

The connection between Vijay and Trisha has been a topic of discussion for months. It gained attention again earlier this year when they were seen together at a wedding reception.

Since then, speculation about their relationship has continued online. Every public appearance, every shared space, has added fuel to the conversation.

Despite the constant chatter, both actors have stayed silent. There has been no confirmation, no denial. This silence has only kept the rumours alive.

Politics, personal life, and a big win

ijay’s party secured 108 out of 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. It marked a major shift in a state where politics has long been dominated by parties like the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.

At the same time, Vijay’s personal life has been under legal attention. His wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, filed for divorce in December 2025. In her petition, she accused him of being in an extramarital relationship with a female actor and alleged mental cruelty, neglect, and desertion.

According to reports, she has also sought the dissolution of their marriage, residence rights at the matrimonial home, and permanent alimony. The case is scheduled for hearing on June 15 at the Chengalpattu Family Court.
